  • Aquatic & Fitness Centre – Their awesome Aquatic & Fitness Centre – Te Pare a Ruahine – features a purpose-built 25m heated pool and modern gym. Membership (affordable) includes access to the pool, gym, aqua aerobics, fitness testing, fitness programmes, circuit training and helpful, friendly and experienced staff.
  • Atrium Beauty Salon – The Atrium Training Beauty Salon offers facials, waxing, and more. All services are supervised by qualified beauty therapists and tutors and you can book online.
  • Bay Auto – Call into Bay Auto for all your car repairs, big and small – best price in town!
  • Book Store – Books-A-Plenty on Grey Street (close to Bongard) has an additional small shop on Windermere Campus where you can get text books, stationery, magazines and more.
  • Cafés & ATMs – There are two great cafés at Windermere Campus; Rex’s Café in the Rex Williams Centre, and Café X in the Student Learning Centre, which has an ATM machine outside for you to use. There’s also a lunch caravan called The Lunchbox close to the gym.
  • Career Information & Advice – We provide access to a number of self-help resources and encourage you to manage your own career.
  • Te Whare Hauora – Health Centre – A kaitiaki (health) nurse offering FREE comprehensive services is available during clinic times at Health Services, both at Windermere and Bongard. The nurse can help you with everything from giving up smoking, to contraception advice and information.
  • IT on Campus – IT services provide over 450 computers in 15+ computer suites on both campuses. When you become a student at the Polytechnic, you’ll receive a free Polytechnic email account, internet access and online file storage. Wireless is available using boppolygrid at Windermere and Bongard. The Information Centres are the starting point for any questions you have on programmes, finances, course application and enrolments, and lots more.
  • Prayer Room – There is a prayer room located at L5 (opposite Ako Atea and across the little road, on the corner). The room is open to everyone and is accessible by swipe ID card 24 hours, 7 days a week, except for shutdown periods.
  • Videoconferencing – Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology offers videoconferencing facilities at both Bongard and Windermere campuses for staff and students as well as the general public.

Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is situated in one of the most scenic parts of New Zealand. It has five campuses that provide secondary education to about 8,000 domestic students and 1,300 students from overseas.

The Mokoia Campus at Waiariki College helps students to make the transition from study to work.
