UNIVERSITY OF HERTFORDSHIRE

Established in 1952 as Hatfield Technical College, the University of Hertfordshire got its status as a regional college by the Ministry of Education in 1961 and in the year 1992, Hertfordshire was granted university status by The British Government. Started as an aeronautical engineering college, this university now has numerous research centers in various fields like health and human sciences, arts and humanities, and science and technology. 

There are two campuses of The University of Hertfordshire – De Havilland and College Lane. The campuses are very well built and equipped with accommodation facilities, gym, social spaces, computer center, library, biology lab, art gallery, simulation wards, etc. Both the campuses are at convenient locations that are easily accessible by bus and train.

The university provides proper placement assistance to the students and also invites renowned companies from various work spheres like business, arts, physics, law and math for placements.

  1. As per the Complete University Guide 2015, the University of Hertfordshire has the lowest rate of ‘student relevant’ crimes. 
  2. The University of Hertfordshire ranks 601–800 among world universities in Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2019.
  3. It comes under the ranking of 101-150 under Young University Rankings 2018. 
  4. In the “THE 100 Under 50 universities 2015”, the University of Hertfordshire was placed 71st.
  5. In the Times Higher Education ranking of most international universities in January 2015, Hertfordshire ranked 84th in the top 100 in the world.
