UCW MBA program is perhaps the most popular course among the international students. It includes relevant digital components and students can earn certifications such as Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) and more. The MBA-ACCA pathway is a program offered by University Canada West (UCW) for students who are pursuing their ACCA and are looking to become accredited CA’s in Canada. This program allows ACCA students, affiliates, and members to top up their accounting and finance knowledge with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The program allows students to complete their remaining ACCA exams while pursuing their MBA degree, so they can enter the workforce with both internationally recognised qualifications. Students who have completed a few or all of the ACCA Strategic Professional exams may be eligible to receive credit transfers towards their MBA degree. The number of credits transferred will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Why is MBA Foundation Course required?
The MBA Foundation Course is an essential step in the journey to an MBA degree. It is also a requirement for students who do not have the professional or academic qualifications for the MBA program, as they must earn a CGPA of B (GPA of 3.0) or better overall in the MBA Foundation program in order to continue into the MBA program.
MBA Foundation course structure
The MBA Foundation Course is the first fully Open Educational Resources (OER) program at UCW. All courses within this program have no textbook or resource fees. The MBA Foundation Course includes courses in the following areas:
MBAF 501 – Introducing Business and Business Writing: This course prepares students for success in the MBA program and in the business world by teaching them how to compose written business documents and deliver presentations. They learn to analyse context, audience, purpose and genre in written communications, and integrate relevant and appropriate media to create appropriate workplace communications that can be received, understood and used efficiently and accurately.
MBAF 502 – Quantitative Reasoning and Analysis: This course introduces students to basic quantitative skills (e.g., basic algebra, statistics) important to core graduate courses such as accounting, economics, finance, operations and project management. Students develop critical thinking skills related to the design of their study, data collection, descriptive statistics, selection of appropriate statistical tools, interpretation of the statistical results and understanding of the merits and shortcomings of various statistical models.
MBAF 504 – Business Economics: This course equips business students with the fundamental economic tools and methods necessary to understand modern business practices. Students investigate the two core pillars of economics: microeconomics and macroeconomics while quantitatively building their analytical skills gained from MBAF 502 using a project-based learning approach.

The University Canada West (UCW) Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program is a four-year degree program that focuses on providing its students with an in-depth understanding of contemporary business strategies. The program provides a comprehensive overview of the various business disciplines, including finance, accounting, marketing, management, economics, and organisational behavior.
The program is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s business world. The BCom program also emphasises the importance of professional development. Bachelor Of Arts In Business Communication
The Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication (BABC) is a four-year interdisciplinary program that focuses on the development of knowledge and skills related to media, culture, and business. This degree provides a broad understanding of the different forms of communication, from traditional to digital media, and how communication affects audiences. Students in this program will gain a strong foundation in communication theories, research methods, and ethical and legal protocols.
The coursework focuses on teaching students to use communication technologies to create, interpret, and evaluate persuasive messages. This includes understanding the importance of audience analysis and using appropriate media for the desired outcome. Students will also learn about the impact of communication on society and how to use communication to effectively solve business problems.
In addition to the core classes, the BABC program provides a wide range of electives that allow students to specialise in areas such as public relations, advertising, corporate communications, and digital media. There are also opportunities to develop professional skills such as writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication. The University Canada West (UCW) Associate of Arts (AA) degree is a two-year, 60-credit undergraduate program that is equivalent to the first two years of a four-year degree in the Arts. It provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the liberal arts and sciences, preparing them with knowledge, skills, and abilities to pursue further study.
The AA degree is accepted for transfer into bachelor degree programs at UCW and all British Columbia degree-granting institutions, provided other admission requirements are met. It can also serve as a credential to enter the labour market.
The AA program is made up of 20 courses, including general education courses that provide a foundation in the liberal arts and sciences, and courses in the student’s chosen specialisation. The courses are provided in face-to-face learning environments, and the program can be completed in two years.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will have acquired the skills to become effective oral and written communicators for the workplace, the ability to work collaboratively, and a strong foundation for pursuing further study. Students who complete 30 credits in the Associate of Arts degree may also transfer to the Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication or Bachelor of Commerce degree seamlessly, or they may continue in the AA program to complete the program with an additional 30 credit hours of study.

There 3 types of awards and scholarships UCW offers to its students,
- Entrance Awards: Entrance awards are available to new students approved for admission to either undergraduate or graduate programs at UCW. The awards are bestowed automatically and no award application is required. Examples include the Americas Grant, Canada 150 Tuition Concession for the Armed Forces, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Regional Grant, European Grant, Middle East Regional Grant, Pathway to Knowledge Bursary, Scholarships for Academic Excellence, Second Language Excellence Scholarship, Southeast Asia (SEA) Regional Grant, Special Targeted Regional Award Program, and UAP Grant.
- Scholarships: Scholarships are available to new students applying to a UCW undergraduate or graduate program. The scholarships are reviewed and awarded through an application process. Examples include the Emily Baker Scholarship, MBA Foundation Study Grant, and University Canada West Founder’s Scholarship.

University Canada West Entry Criteria
The general entry requirements for the MBA program at UCW consist of English language proficiency, a minimum cumulative GPA, and one of the following: a suitable score on the GMAT or GRE, a relevant Canadian professional designation, a Bachelor degree in business, or three years of documented professional or management experience with evidence of career progression and relevant education and/or training.
For the English language proficiency requirement, applicants whose first language is not English must submit an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher (with a minimum of 6.0 in the writing band) or equivalent (e.g., TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo). Applicants whose first language is English and who graduated from a recognised degree program in an English-speaking country may be exempt from the IELTS or equivalent requirement.
The minimum cumulative GPA requirement is 3.00 (on a 4.33 scale) or better in a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Applicants who do not meet this requirement may instead qualify by completing UCW’s MBA Foundation (MBAF) program with a GPA of 3.00.
Finally, applicants may satisfy the final entry requirement by submitting a suitable score on the GMAT or GRE (taken within the last five years), submitting a relevant Canadian professional designation or equivalent international designation (e.g., CPA, CA, CGA, CMA, CHRP, or P.Eng.), submitting a Bachelor degree in business (e.g., BBA or BCom from a recognised university), or having a minimum of three years of documented professional or management experience with evidence of career progression and relevant education and/or training.

This sprawling campus was made available to the students on October 2020. So this is UCW’s most recent campus that has 90,000 sq. ft. for the students to move freely. This campus is also known as University Canada West Granville.
